I am Mr. Demba Jarju, a male and a Gambian by nationality and the sole proprietor of Demba Construction Services. Demba Construction is sole proprietor venture for the realization of minor building and civil Engineering works. After Acquiring the city and Guilds of London institute in General Course in Construction I started working as assistant surveyor at Kier International Company Ltd Gambia office for the Construction of Banjul port jetty extension, the Gambia in 1996. In 1997 I acquired clerk of works training from the Gambia Technical Training Institute and started working as Clerk of works for Gambian agency for the management of public works. as a petty contractor also constructed for( EDF) European development for (BAC) Brikama Area Council office extension project in 1998. In 1999 I designed and constructed Kembujeh open market for Brikama Area Council. From this time up to 2004 I have been designing and constructing houses, schools, tennis loans and swimming pools through out The Gambia. In 2004 I acquired certificate of achievement in Design, Planning and Construction introductory education module 2 which was implemented by Gambia Technical Training Institute The Gambia and the faculty of Architecture , planning and Construction Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Whilst registered as a main contractor in the year 2000, I was working and learning at the same time. From 2007 to 2009 I acquired the National Diploma in Civil Engineering Construction. In 2010, I acquired (ECOWAS) certificate of participation training workshop for contractors on Highway construction and maintenance in ECOWAS region organized by ECOWAS in cooperation with the National Board for Technical Education(NBTE) held at UNESCO-Nigeria TVE center for excellent Kaduna Nigeria. 2015 I acquired HND in civil Engineering Construction Management. 2018 I acquired certificate of attendance on Labour Based Road Construction Techniques, pricing and Tendering training implemented by (UNOPS) United Nations Office For Project Services. In 2019 i was contracted to work as Project Manager and Site Engineer for the rehabilitation and construction of both Illiassa-Kachang feeder road North bank region and Main road- Galleh Manda Central River region south of the Gambia implemented by (UNOPS) 2021 Project Manager and site Engineer for the construction of reinforced shallow drains and irish crossing from Laming NTC-Mandi nary Village for The Gambia National Roads Authority. I am a Designer, Engineer, Surveyor , Project Manager and a Builder with over 26 years field experience including 10 years project Management experience.
