Fashion Weekend Gambia serves as a creative platform for emerging designers and has provided an initial stepping stone into the fashion industry for many Gambian designers.
Fashion Weekend Gambia has been the first to showcase successful brands like NOIR, StarFit and Phuzion andcontinues to open its platform for creative and innovative fashion across boarders.
Fashion Weekend Gambia aims to create a sustainable fashion industry, though capacity building workshops for models and designers with a focus on building fair trade brands.
We promote fashion as an additional reason for tourists and Gambians living in the diaspora to come – we know that The Gambia itself will be the reason they will keep coming.
Fashion Weekend Gambia started off with a handful of designers but due to its huge success last years runway will be graced by over 20 designers.
