Nyambai Sawmill is run by Moukhtara Holding and its main activity is the conversion of round logs. It has a capacity production of 0.5 cm per day with quantities produced being 122 cubic metres of lumber per day. Provides good quality timber for the building industry using modern sawmill machinery such as band mills, resews, gang saws, edgers, hammer hogs, chippers, belt conveyors, chain conveyors, vibrating conveyors, unscrambles, planers and barkers.
Most of the cut timber is either imported from Casamance, Senegal, or is logged down at its Sifoe plantation located in Bonto in The Gambia. Nyambai employs over 30 people in order to keep a constant flow of the production of wood products. Near the main gate Nyambai also sells Malian trunks for shoring up form work, scaffolding supports or fencing.
